Jennifer Bontrager and I were at the Seattle Marathon on Sunday: her to run half of it and me to volunteer chiropractic care at the finish line. Jennifer has been under regular chiropractic care with me since she was 7, and in her teenage years she was an elite powerlifter competing successfully at the international level. Now she is a wife and a mother of 3 great kids. She did well with the run and as you can see from the picture, she’s happy with how it felt to do it.
I hadn’t volunteered at an event like this one before but they asked and it didn’t seem reasonable to have a shortage of volunteers there. It went well, the chiropractors were in next to the naturopaths. We all stayed very busy and were quite popular with the runners. It was interesting to meet people from Bulargia, Minnesota, various places in Canada, and other places locally. They very much appreciated being able to be adjusted after their run. And many of them were very happy to be referred to chiropractic doctors that I know in their area. In all it was a very good day.
