Why You May Not Be Able To Lose Weight

Staying on the Path

Here is a link to an important article on why some people just aren’t finding success in their efforts to fight a problem with excess weight.

Fighting diseases has proven to be a failed approach in general and for most it’s a failed approach to their weight issues. I recommend focusing on what causes health and on what you can do (function) rather than what you weigh.

Health has, and always will be, about diet, exercise and a positive mental outlook (plus a little luck maybe). Start there. Make some reasonable goals. Form a reasonable plan. And do what you can to start the process moving in the right direction. Recognize the barriers and blocks (from your head – try and listen to your own self talk and the words that come out of your own mouth) and deal with those. Then just stay on the path. It’s being on the path that really matters, not any particular destination.
