If You Want To Lose Weight…

… don’t stay up too late!

And not just for all the circadian rhythm reasons that I mentioned in an earlier Post.

“Early to bed” means you will be rested. You wake up earlier and you wake up more rested. More rested means you will have more energy. More energy means that you will be more active. More active means that you will burn more calories throughout the day. See the connection?

It’s the same cycle that we Chiropractic doctors see in a majority of our patients: they have pain, therefore they can’t sleep… you know the rest, it’s the inverse of the above. So it comes as a great surprise to our patients, but no surprise to us, when patients report sleeping better, more energy, more activity, etc. after their pain is relieved. It naturally flows. Health is the natural state and happens naturally. Our job is to better understand it and work with it instead of against it.
