Research overwhelmingly shows that regular exercise lowers the risk for many diseases, enhances the functioning of virtually every physiological system in the human body and improves psychological well-being.

37.Increases the thickness of cartilage in your joints.

Well… that’s a benefit of exercise IF… you move correctly. Move poorly and your joint cartilage is destroyed – you will only know it though, when the cartilage is gone: cartilage doesn’t have any pain fibers, so the abnormal stresses to it are not being communicated to the brain. When the cartilage is all gone you will know it though: bone is richly innervated with pain fibers.
