Rocking Chairs

It used to be the ill effects of sitting so much in older age was offset (a little at least) by the stimulation of rocking in a chair. Not so much any more.

Too bad. Sitting is not good for your brain! Here is the latest science to show what nowadays should go without saying (and usually does because we do not want to hear it:-).

When it comes to aging and health that is. An earlier Post discussed the importance of a “fast” between the last meal of the day and the first meal the next day. This research reinforces what we already have known for many years: caloric restriction has benefits.

Interesting Aging

“70 is really the new 30”

We are at an interesting point in history. While 70 may be the new 30 for people who choose a healthy lifestyle, it is also true that, in this country at least, the current generation of children will not outlive their parents (for the first time in history).

That is something to think about if you have kids.

And it’s a choice.
