Not What Everyone Wants to Hear: Protein in the Diet

The message of the meat eaters has gotten through to the general public: when you ask about what they eat, they know the answers they are ‘supposed’ to give and mention meat, meat, meat. Paleo is popular.

And, while it may not be a fad, it misses the mark by a mile as to the healthiest way to eat. Here, the Blue Zone take on things lines up with recent research: eat vegetables first, then nuts, grains, seeds and beans – that is where to get the majority of your protein.

Not a popular message, but not a new one either. Many will prefer to follow the voices that tickle their ears and tempt their eyes – willingly hypnotized into choices that will cost them dearly down the road. Follow the ‘narrow path’, not the ‘broad road that leads to destruction’.
