Research overwhelmingly shows that regular exercise lowers the risk for many diseases, enhances the functioning of virtually every physiological system in the human body and improves psychological well-being.

58. Helps to reduce the amount of insulin required to control blood sugar levels in Type I diabetes.

(I am pretty sure I remember my tai chi teacher saying that his teacher was diabetic his whole life: something to think about.)
