Kangen? Thinking of buying a water ionizing machine (Alkaline Water)

Crater Lake

Here are some thoughts to consider when comparing machines and the company selling them…

Choosing a Water Ionizing Machine

1. Does it have a salt water chamber or some other source of mixing salt with the tap water? (This is the only way to make 2.5 pH Electrolyzed Oxidizing water that has been shown to kill every microorganism against which it has ever been tested.)

2. Is it Medical Grade? Find a reputable source of doctors and hospitals that recommend the machine you are considering buying.

3. Are there numerous Awards given for both the machine AND the water that comes from it? Check them out. The internet is full companies claiming awards and certifications that do not exist.

4. Are you buying from a company that is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)? Almost all sellers of water ionizers are actually RE-sellers. They are not the OEM. If you need a warranty service, it’s unlikely the reseller will be involved. You may have to ship your machine back to its country of manufacture.

5. Is the Warranty still good if you run hard water through the machine? Many parts of the world have hard water. Several Warranties include fine print that says running hard water through the machine voids the Warranty.

6. Is the Warranty rational? Is it a “Lifetime” warranty? Can the company reasonably carry out the warranty? Buyer beware. Let your heart and your brain work together on this.

7. Are both automatic self-cleaning and manual cleaning options available? Ionizition brings mineral scale of the water and onto the plates (see not above about hard water). As scale builds up, ionization is greatly reduced so cleaning frequently is a must. The best machines clean automatically after every 15 minutes of use. In additon they have an at-home manual cleaning process. They can also be completely disassembled for thorough factory cleaning by the OEM (who should have service centers in your country).

8. Have the machines been in use in the marketplace more than or less than 25 years?

9. Do you have the opportunity to try before you buy? It’s not necessary, but a really nice option. Look for “Water Share Programs” in your area.

Decide if these questions are important to you. Call if you would like help finding a machine where all the answers are “Yes”. (425) 348-5207

  5. […] When it comes to the quality and effectiveness of the water produced by a water ionizer, the construction of the electrode plates is one of the most important components. There are three main types of plate construction used in the water ionizer industry today: solid, mesh and slotted. Solid plates are the most durable plate design, with the longest lifespan; they are also the most expensive to produce, which is why they are typically used in only the highest quality water ionizers.
